Dr. Jenny Cohen
Dr. Jenny is a board-certified Family Medicine physician specializing in Integrative Medicine. She is a certified medical acupuncturist, founder and CEO of SIMPLE Lifestyle Evolution, Psych-K facilitator, Satori Flow form Qi Gong instructor, cancer survivor, wife and mother of 2. She received her medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School before going on to the Family Medicine Residency Program at Columbia University’s New York Presbyterian Hospital where she served as chief resident during her final year. From there she went into a broad-spectrum primary care practice in Tampa Florida where it became clear that what she had learned in medical school and residency was only part of what people need to heal and be healthy. Deciding she needed to learn more to better serve her patients she went back to complete a clinical fellowship in Integrative Medicine at Stamford Hospital in conjunction with Dr. Andrew Weil’s Integrative Medicine fellowship through the University of Arizona where she learned about nutrition, movement, mind-body healing modalities, the importance of community and purpose, naturally occurring alternatives to pharmaceutical medications, and when it is appropriate to use a traditional vs holistic approach to treatment. During this time, she also received her certification in medical acupuncture through SUNY Downstate. Since then she has continued to grow and expand her understanding of energy work and mindset optimization to help her patients learn to master their lives in ways that would not be possible without tapping-in to these areas.
Today Dr. Jenny integrates traditional and holistic modalities to get to the root cause of dis-ease and tailor individual treatment plans for her patients and clients. She is passionate about empowering them to become masters of their own health and their lives. She views her role as a guide, believing completely that the most powerful tools for healing lie within you, and she helps her patients and clients access and strengthen those inner resources to increase vitality and longevity and minimize the need for medications.
